Courteney Cox, best known for her role in Friends and the popular movie franchise Scream, had to face a Scream-like scenario at her own house, which prompted her to resell it on an urgent basis.
According to an interview with Jimmy Kimmel, the Friends actress told the interviewer that she experienced some paranormal activity in her own home, based in Laurel Canyon, California. The said house was also once home to Carole King. Courtney even brought back Carole to her house to take part in a séance with her, so as to cleanse the house of the spirit dwelling there.
According to Cox, Carole King came over to her house and told her that the house had witnessed a very ugly divorce. She also said that there was a ghost in the house. But Cox did not believe her. Other people who had stayed at her California house also shared scary instances where they could witness a woman sitting at the edge of the bed, but still Courteney Cox did not believe them.

But an incident with a delivery man later scared Courteney to such an extent that she immediately decided to pack her bags, leave and sell the house. One day, a delivery man knocked at her house to drop off some packages. As she opens the door, the delivery person asks her whether she knew that the house was haunted. Courteney asked him in disbelief, that yes, some people have told her previously, and why was he saying so. He replied, ‘there is someone right behind you’. The incident sent shivers down her spine, and she couldn’t sleep in the house alone for a minute longer. She decided to immediately pack her bags, and leave. Cox also put down the house for sale right after the incident.

The actress is also known for her drool-worthy Malibu beach house, which she has had for over a decade. The house is well-known to guest famous stars like Ed Sheeran. The house features a two-acre garden, a swimming pool, and even a tennis court apart from the basic amenities and a warm, cozy interior.
